2010 Naismith National High School Coach of the Year

Coach Casey was head of the Peddie girls’ basketball program for 17 years. During this time, Peddie became one of the top high school basketball programs in the nation, earning national rankings from Street & Smith magazine in five out of his last eight seasons. While at the helm of the Peddie program, he recorded a remarkable 329 wins against only 89 losses, winning 14 consecutive Prep A State Championships and the 2010 ESPNRISE National Invitational title. His teams were consistently ranked as one of the top five programs in New Jersey, and finished the 2003, 2005 and 2009 seasons as the #1 ranked team in New Jersey. During his tenure, he coached 22 division-one basketball players, including ten Street & Smith all-American and three McDonald’s all-American. For his teams’ efforts, Coach Casey was named the 2010 Naismith National Coach of the Year, and he was selected as the Trenton Times and Trentonian Prep Coach of the Year on five different occasions. Coach Casey is currently the head of school at Franklin Road Academy in Nashville, Tennessee.
